Our Story

Fish and Chips on the Hamilton Mountain Since 1989

Golden Fish & Chips is a family-friendly fish and chips restaurant on Upper Gage Avenue on the Hamilton Mountain, near the Lincoln Alexander Parkway. In our own words: "For over 25 years we have been serving fish and chips here in Hamilton."

The kitchen is known for its light, crunchy golden batter, halibut and haddock with golden-brown fries, homemade tartar sauce and generous portions at some of the best prices in town. Alongside our original golden fish and chips we serve deep-fried sides such as fried pickles, mushrooms, onion rings and poutine, with coleslaw and gravy.

Order at the counter and eat in our relaxed, classic diner-style dining room, or take your meal to go. Daily specials keep regulars coming back every week. Service with a Smile - Golden Food, Golden Service.
